Waxing Crescent Virgo moon, Water & Earth Day 💧🪴
Moon conjoins South Node (11:45 pm)
Pause: Moon makes her monthly conjunction with the South Node: this is a time when most projects or other material energy may be challenged in taking hold. South node vibes tend to support forms falling away, exiting, and dematerializing. During this alignment it may be a bit easier to tap into your spiritual side. Bodies may feel like they need extra rest.
Favorable day for: Morning & afternoon: planning, making lists, ordering supplies, home & office organization. Evening: R & R, decluttering, letting go
Daily vibe: The waxing crescent moon in Virgo may continue to drive us towards improvement, perfection, or material accomplishment in some area of life (especially around the current season of Cancerian topics). In the evening however, the moon will begin to align with the south node, and under this energy, similar to balsamic moon energies, we can be unmotivated to begin any tasks. Will forces may be used, but this may be difficult, much like paddling up river.
The monthly moon south node conjunction is a time to allow things to flow downstream. Sometimes during these alignments, we work with the energy of loss. Last month when the moon was in almost perfect alignment with the south node, we had a technician from Whirlpool come to our house to attempt to fix our oven. It was soon apparent that the oven, only a year old, was beyond repair. I checked the planets and saw the moon’s alignment with the south node. I didn’t like seeing the south node/moon alignment, but was reminded that I needed to go with the flow.
For children: Under a Virgo moon, children may more naturally attune to some of the sign’s significations & actions - simplifying & bringing order to spaces, paying attention to the health of the body, working with the earth/garden/nature in some way, being of service & support, and preparing for an upcoming event. I often associate Virgo energy with squirrel energy - getting the pantry stocked up, making the list for the party, thinking of what we may need in the season ahead (never to early for Virgo to shop for back to school supplies). The vibration of any of these activities may easily flow with today’s agenda.
For health: The moon’s monthly conjunction with the south node is excellent for spiritual R & R. If you feel physically undernourished in any way, it is possible to feel this even a bit more so at this time. You may initiate some physical self care, but it doesn’t necessarily mean it will have a huge building effect on you at the moment (this is not a planetary time for materialization/growth). Spiritual self care would be more appropriate. Being still. Being tender, compassionate, & kind - and focusing more on your state of “being” may feel more supported under this quick alignment.

Waxing Crescent Virgo moon trines Venus, Water & Earth Day 💧🪴
Moon enters Libra (5:16 PM)
Favorable day for: June 30 Virgo activities, examining our values and relationships
Daily vibe: Today the moon is highlighting upcoming opportunities to make positive changes in our values and relationships (Moon trine Venus & Uranus). Virgo energy has excellent diagnostic skills, so examination of our relationships with people, environments, and the tools of our lives, and what we may need to tweak, or make big change in, may very relevant this week.
To give an example, we could consider how our current technological tools affect our relationships - especially on the Cancerian part of our lives. We can ask ourselves if our current use of technology is in alignment with our values. We can examine where tech supports bonding & family cohesion & where it causes destabilization. With the planet Uranus getting ready to changes signs into Gemini next week, we may begin to seek new ways of communicating and staying in touch that create deeper bonds (Jupiter in Cancer) than we are currently experiencing.
For children: SKILLS in the KITCHEN! Combining the qualities of the Cancer Sun & Virgo moon makes me think about developing skills to nourish ourselves with learning to feed our bodies at the top of the list. If time permits, giving a little attention to working with children on how to prepare a snack for themselves or a family member may be supported today. I have a child with a Virgo moon (in the house of food - 2nd) & he really enjoys America’s Test Kitchen book, The Complete Guide for Young Chefs. If you end up doing an errand today - stopping at the library to look for children’s cook books may also be fun.
For health: The gut/brain axis is a part of our health we can tune into under a Virgo moon. Both eastern and western medicine note that issues with our digestion can lead to an unclear or murky mind. More on gut brain axis from a Traditional Chinese Perspective here and from a Western Perspective here.
Many of us know that probiotics can assist with gut health, but it can be hard to choose which one. At our clinic we have distributed MegasporeBiotic and their other gut health supports for years. We have had success with this probiotic in our own home as well.

First quarter Libra Moon (3:30 PM) Water & Air Day 💧🌬️
Favorable day for: Going out of your comfort zone, taking action, seeking balance for the needs of family members, socialization, pursuing interests that feed our intellectual side
Daily vibe: First quarter moons often bring a feeling of “something cooking.” They are warming, action oriented, and can sometimes bring a little inflammation or conflict. The energy can just put on the pressure a bit — as this 90 degree angle between the sun and the moon’s energy is asking us to do work towards our new moon intention. Whatever project you have been working on may now require slight adjustment or additional action to keep on the path.
We also may need to reconcile Cancer & Libra qualities that we have been working with in order to move forward. Cancer draws us into our safe & nurturing spaces while Libra draws us out into the world and asks us to make social connections, build community, & detach from our feelings a bit. The side of us that’s a bit Moody Judy may need to dry out a bit and consider the thoughts & feelings of others. On the other side, if you find yourself always putting others first, perhaps tending to your emotional needs first will actually create the balance you crave.
For children: Combining energies of Cancer & Libra - children may have to contend with things not feeling fair or equal in some way. Don’t be surprised if you hear “that’s not fair!” a bit more during a Libra moon as this energy can make children a bit obsessed with fairness & justice.. There may be some hawk eyes ensuring that others are receiving appropriate consequences for their actions or that everyone gets the same amount of cookies.
A professor of Special Education years ago helped me learn that fairness doesn’t mean that everyone receives the exact same thing. More so, fairness is about everyone’s needs, which are never exactly the same, being met. This was a lightbulb moment for me, and one that I share with my kids when they start keeping score. This may be an idea hard for justice warriors to integrate.
For health: Libra vibes tend to prioritize rational and objective viewpoints. This energy can be a nice reprieve for our mental health when we feel moods and emotions dominating with the Cancer sun. Libra energy also needs to circulate, move, socialize, share ideas, and consider the needs of others. Taking the attention off of ourselves and how we feel can bring some fresh air today.

Waxing Gibbous Moon in Libra Water & Air Day 💧🌬️
Favorable day for: Going out of your comfort zone, taking action, seeking balance for the needs of family members, socialization, pursuing interests that feed our intellectual side
Daily vibe: Cancer & Libra combinations give us opportunities to see our needs (Cancer) reflected back to us through relationships (Libra). Sometimes it may be seeing an unmet need that another currently has which can be challenging, or it may be that a friend or partner showed up and brought you the very balm you needed to care for a wound. Libra often brings opportunity to restore balance and harmony, but it may require a little work (1st quarter moon) to get there.
While focusing on Libra, we must pay attention to Venus (a planet of Libra). Her energies are currently blending with those of Uranus. This combination brings opportunity to break up stagnant issues in relationships and challenge what isn’t working. Venus Uranus may demand change, a bit of freedom, a touch of newness, or an eccentric need getting attention. Allowing for individual needs to be heard rather than judged, will be supportive.
For children: Under Libra vibes, we can have conversations with children about how to make decisions. Many children and adults are conditioned to make decisions based on how they feel (Cancer). We can teach our children, that sometimes our feelings can change depending on the state of our body — making a decision when tired, hungry, or under stress, may yield a different answer after rest, healthy food, and time doing activities that fill us (emotions are changeable, like the moon!). It may be helpful to put off decisions or conversations until the physical body is in check. Then we can encourage children to ask themselves — “does this choice make my heart feel light or heavy?”
For health: Rhythms may be thrown off (Uranus) with Venus ruled health topics. Our acid/alkaline balance, thyroid, hormones, and blood sugar may be a bit vulnerable to foods or activities that are extra indulgent or extreme. Staying hydrated and having a good work/play/eat/rest balance today may be extra helpful, if schedules allow.

Waxing Gibbous Moon enters Scorpio (5:32 AM) Double Water Day 💧💧
Venus conjoins Uranus (8:45 AM)
Venus enters Gemini (11:30 AM)
Neptune stations Retrograde
Pause: Neptune stationing retrograde amplifies Neptune vibes in a big way. On the positive side, Neptune provides opportunity to take a break from reality a bit to forget about the hardships of human life. We can do this through being wrapped up in our happy places — perhaps in a good fantasy book, romantic comedy or beautiful music, deep dives into topics we love, or bike rides or rafting adventures. Neptune also governs transcending pain through “numbing” -- so the use of substances for this purpose would make me pause. If you have anyone in your life that tends to self medicating behaviors, Neptune transits are usually ones to keep an eye on.
Favorable day for: Finding Beauty (Venus) in Freedom (Uranus) 🇺🇸 tending to emotional needs, spending time on the water, removal & excretion of emotional and physical clutter, weeding of many types, investigations of our inner spaces, tending to our sexual health
Daily vibe: Double water & Neptune stationing retrograde makes me think, or I suppose I should say FEEL, like today’s 4th of July holiday may bring desire to stick to spaces that feel good. Our emotions may be heightened during this time, so it may be a good idea to ensure we are swimming in waters that feel good to us as well as waters that are calming, clear, and comforting.
Venus changing signs into Gemini brings love & healing to our mindset and perspectives, and so I could see how swimming in happy places may be restorative to our mental spaces today. If the moodiness of today is getting to you, a visit with some friends, or some sensitive social time with those you feel you can be yourself around, may be extra helpful. Taking a short trip or errand to an uplifting place or waterfall, could fit the vibe as well.
For children: During this double water period, leave space for some large feelings for children who tend to express deep emotion. Don’t be surprised if young children are a bit extra needy or clingy. Guard against scary media or movies. Water play may be super supportive and restorative.
For health: In Chinese medicine, the lung (Gemini) and large intestine (Scorpio) are an organ pair. With Venus moving into Gemini, and the moon in the sign of our colon, today feels like a day to notice their relationship. On a psycho-spiritual level, we must be able to let go (colon), in order to breathe easy and take new things into our lives. Examination of our bowel rhythms can sometimes give insights into we are allowing things to flow in and out of our lives.

Waxing Gibbous Moon in Scorpio Double Water Day 💧💧
Favorable day for: July 4 activities continued
Daily vibe: Scorpio vibes are excellent for tuning into energy and with the sun in Cancer — that attunement may be heightened to the household, family, & body. This Mars ruled moon gives opportunity to move what is stagnant & stuck in any Cancerian space in order to regenerate & heal. Sometimes moving blocked energy or emotions requires a bit of force or involves a release from a pressure that has been building.
With Mars currently in Virgo, taming moody energies by focusing on practical work or lending a hand to others may be a nice expression of today’s wavelength. Scorpio & Virgo are two signs that sense fine details in an extreme way to help with project work— with Virgo aware of how to reorient and organize physical disorganization and clutter, and Scorpio doing this at an energetic level. While this vision can be extremely helpful with getting work completed, staying mindful to not nitpick or apply this lens to people will help ensure feelings are not hurt.
For children: Scorpio is often associated with that which is hidden, unseen, or taboo. While the moon is in this sign, it brings opportunity to discuss those things that may be hard to talk about — death, loss, grief, feeling powerlessness, fears, and even our sexual health and cycles. Creating time and intention for these hard conversations help build true intimacy and trust within the family. We can also thank the Scorpio moon for bringing an opportunity to clear out any elephants in the room, allowing us to all breathe a bit easier.
For health: Out of balance water energy can at times breed candida issues. When my husband and I chat about yeast, we see it more as something that shows up when bodily voltage is down and/or damp conditions are in the body. Yeast thrives in damp, cool, environments. With the Scorpio moon ruling our sexual organs, we can be reminded of what may help bring a little harmony to our feminine, private spaces when damp, yeasty, or out of balance conditions arise. Working on our bodily pH with morning lemon water, taking a spore base probiotic, and when necessary, making a topical cream with a tablespoon of coconut oil and several drops of tea tree oil, provides an antimicrobial cream that is safe to apply vaginally. Raising our frequency with any choice of essential oils, can also be helpful.
Sunday, July 6
💧💧 until Waxing Gibbous Moon enters Sagittarius (6:06 PM)
Venus sextile Saturn & Neptune (4:43 AM, 10:46 AM)
“Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.”
~ George Bernard Shaw
Favorable day for: July 4 activities + taking responsibility for our own pleasure and social life, examination of our mindset & what we’d like to grow or change, seeing opportunities for change with persisting challenges & emotions
Daily vibe: In less than 24 hours, Uranus, the planet that speaks of forces that excite, inspire, and awaken us, is moving into the zodiac sign of Gemini. Uranus energy awakens an authentic, but perhaps dormant, aspect of our individuality and it often brings serious changes, ones that could often not be predicted.
Uranian energy is associated with revolutions, the forces needed to break out of old patterns in order to emancipate and free parts of our outer and inner worlds. Since Gemini rules aspects of our thinking, communication, socialization, and our mental spaces, I am wondering what changes are coming to these Gemini ruled spaces of our lives. If you are a Gemini sun, moon, or rising, or if you have any planets in this sign, you could examine your natal birth chart for insights into what areas of life may be ready for a personal revolution. Even if we don’t have Gemini planets, Gemini still is associated with a particular area of our chart (and therefore our lives), so we can expect some newness to be coming for all of us. It can be exciting, destabilizing, and at times, a little unsettling. But feelings of progress, freedom, and the joy of expressing more of your authentic self, are usually promised.
This outer planet change is well respected, as Uranus only moves into a new zodiac sign every 7 years!
For children: How do your children respond to change? Those with earthy constitutions (planets or rising signs in Capricorn, Taurus, Virgo) may take a little extra time to adjust to something new. Routine and rhythm are extra comforting for them, and they may need extra time and preparation in order to take on the challenge of something completely new. 2 of our 3 children are heavy in earth, so list making, and looking at the calendar regularly to talk about what is coming up, and ensuring that some form of the familiar is left during transits of change (like still eating our favorite comfort foods) may be extra supportive during periods of newness for the grounded types.
For health: We have been seeing more and more talk about nervous system health and care — especially in regards to technology’s (and even AI) influence on this part of our body. Gemini is associated with our nervous system and information processing so we may expect to see some Uranian vibes asking us to bring change and innovative thinking to this area of our lives. I think this is both a collective and individual calling. It could involve analysis of our habits that lead to more nervous and scattered mental energy or meeting with a new practitioner to find herbs, supplements, chiropractic care or acupuncture that could bring positive change to our neural networks. When we support our nervous systems, our mental narratives are much lighter and positive.
