Waning gibbous moon in Aquarius, Double Air 🌬️ 🌬️
Moon enters Pisces 💧2:08 PM EST
Favorable day for: Researching and practicing artistic & spiritual tools, walking meditations, creating vision boards, cultivating a spiritual mindset, taking a break from media/news
For today: Emotional and spiritual depth may be added to the mental energy of the last few days. Once the moon enters Pisces today, the cosmos is supporting energy allocation to the spiritual, artistic, & imaginative parts of our lives. We may also be supported to research and practice some spiritual tools (Gemini loves tools) to support our current concerns, goals, & evolution.
With the planet Mars getting ready to change signs early tomorrow, you may also begin to notice some bumps in the road as the planet of action & assertion moves from outward, expressive and firey Leo, to a slower, more intentional, earthy Virgo placement. I often find these transition days a bit tricky with Mars ruled topics: our energy, will forces, assertion, defensiveness, & our relationship with adrenaline & anger.
For children: While the moon may be waning, the summer sun light continues to grow towards its peak expression at the upcoming solstice. This time of year is well loved by children (and many adults), as this energy has such a fun, high voltage vibe. Years ago, I gave up on early bed times leading up to the summer solstice. The only downside of this firey fun is that children may all of a sudden crash & burn from being overspent - its almost as if bodily needs are forgotten (If you have Gemini vibes, and lack earthy qualities, this may speak to you). Doing our best to ensure our children still have small breaks to care for their bodies in some way will be helpful this week.
For health: A moon in Pisces calls for care to the “waters” of our body — our lymphatic system. What can you do during the next 2 1/2 days to give extra care to keep your lymph flowing & clear? While it may be hard to keep a regular skin brushing routine going, committing to this practice (or other similar attention to lymphatics) while the moon is in Pisces may be well received by the body. Grapefruit essential oil is a favorite of mine also for clearing congested waters.

Waning gibbous moon in Pisces, Air & Water 🌬️ 💧
Mars enters Virgo, 4:35 am EST
Favorable day for: June 16 activities, action that can bring concrete results, planning or planting a “garden” of any type, making lists, rapid organization, taking steps to bring a vision down to earth
For today: With the planet of action & assertion moving from fire (Leo) to earth (Virgo) today, we may feel a total shift with how physical energy is allocated & expressed. Mars in earth requires more patience and persistence, and it looks to have concrete evidence of its actions. We may continuously dream about flower filled window boxes but Mars in Virgo will help us take all necessary steps to plant them. This energy craves physical evidence of your dreams, and we can look to this supportive dream building vibe until early August. More to come with Mars in Virgo when the moon is in Aries & Scorpio — the Mars ruled signs.
For children: Mars in Virgo energy LOVES being of service & helping out in practical ways. How can your children be of service to you and your family?? This may be a good week to give training for a simple skills that could help support the family — like unloading the dishwasher or feeding the pets.
For health: Medical astrologer Judith Hill says Mars excites and brings heat & dryness to the area of the body corresponding to the sign it is currently transiting. Virgo rules our upper intestines, ascending colon, duodenum, spleen, pancreas, and lower lobes of the liver. Extra hydration & cooling may be needed for these areas of our bodies if we tend to have inflammation in the digestive areas or issues such as constipation, diverticulitis or pancreatitis.

Third Quarter Moon in Pisces, 3:19 PM EST, Air & Water 🌬️ 💧
Moon enters Aries 🔥, 7:07 PM EST
Favorable day for: June 16 & 17 activities, compassionate service & care for others, tapping into your mystical side, organization of tools/tech or other items around the home
Pause: Moon enters Aries & makes her monthly conjunction with Saturn & Neptune this evening. When the moon conjoins Saturn, we can feel heavy, limited, burdened, or a hint of melancholy. However, Neptune can soften and help dissolve some of these complaints — so you may feel a burden or old rule that you lived by softening. You could also feel the need to escape or surrender to a responsibility.
For today: The last quarter moon in Pisces may ask us to integrate qualities of both Gemini & Pisces. The Gemini side of us holds intellectual knowledge and data while our Piscean selves express the art of knowing/intuition — the mother’s intuition. How can these two energies validate and support one another? Applying both of these modes of communication may be more fruitful and supportive than getting hung up questioning one mode of knowing. It may be ideal to look to Spirit to validate Matter.
For children: Today’s vibes have a fairytale, etheric, & dreamy quality (though there is still much activity required due to the upcoming Solstice!) However, some of today’s vibes today may support calmer expression - working with water colors, paints, or creating some type of art (Pisces) with tools (Gemini). Don’t be surprised if you hear some “big fish” stories today.
For health: Mars in Virgo energy may bring attention or energy to hyperactive immune responses — especially with insect bites. A baking soda paste mixed with a drop each of tea tree & peppermint oil can cool inflammatory responses and is safe for the whole family to use. An over the counter version of this, called Kids After Bite, can be purchased at most drug stores, Walmart, and online. Excellent to have on hand as we enter summer.

Waning crescent moon in Aries, Air & Fire Day 🌬️🔥
Favorable day for: June 18 activities, practical & purposeful action, care around our digestive organs
For today: The Aries moon, highlighting Mars in Virgo vibes, brings opportunity for taking action in a strategic, practical, or service oriented way. Activity, conversations, and exchanges that combine a practical purpose with a social aspect (Gemini) would be supported today. Taking time to do some research or create a strategy for the to do list is also an expression of this energy. Mars in Virgo is more comfortable with prioritizing & committing to one action done well, instead of getting too scattered - leading to overwhelm (a common Virgo complaint). This is something to keep in mind if you feel like there are too many whistling kettles.
For children: With both sun & moon in active yang signs a day before the solstice, action & activity are most likely required! Aries energy likes to express itself with athletics and with Virgo in the mix, a long, challenging hike or run, something that requires a bit of endurance, may be welcomed (as earth signs tend to show a lot of endurance!)
For health: “A central principle in Chinese medical psychology is that for every thought we have in our minds, there should be a corresponding action in our bodies. This unimpeded movement from the mind into the body, down into the nerves, muscles, tendons, and instinctual impulses of our body, allows our Tao to flow effortlessly through us and out into the world through our words and our actions.”
~ Lorie Dechar, L.Ac, taken from her book “Five Spirits”
Mars in intellectual and mercurial Virgo brings opportunity to be strategic & intentional with our efforts & action. A shadow side of Mars in Virgo is paralysis by analysis and cycles of worry around the results of our actions. Remembering the wisdom of the Tao that Laurie shares can help us come into a healthy flow of thought to action. Reflect if you are too backed up on either side of the exchange - too much thinking and not enough action, or too much action without enough thinking beforehand.

Waning crescent moon in Aries, Air & Fire Day 🌬️🔥
Moon enters Taurus, 9:52 PM EST
SUMMER SOLSTICE Sun enters Cancer, 10:42 PM
For today: As we welcome in the season of Cancer this weekend, we have opportunity to spend the next 30 days consciously working with Cancerian topics. Cancer is the zodiac sign associated with the moon, and so this month shines light on the moon & the many areas of life she speaks for. The moon speaks of energetic impulses towards nurturing, mothering, bonding, feeling, reminiscing, reflecting, prioritizing our homes & community, and tuning into our body, our instincts, and our intuition. Considering these topics, Cancer season is a FAVORABLE MONTH FOR:
Nesting: Putting energy into your home / bedroom to create spaces that nourish you in some way
Nurturing: Giving care to family, friends, & community in a balanced way
Self-care: Taking time to listen to your body & give some care
Tuning into the moon cycle: Aligning with the natural ebb & flow of the entire moon cycle, noting what it feels like when the moon is waxing vs waning, or when located in different zodiac signs
Determining your healthy containers: Cancer is a water sign that can speak to us about taking shape of the environment we are in. “Swimming” in pristine waters vs stagnant, murky ones, will yield a very different feeling at the end of the day. This is a wonderful time to mindfully choose that which you wish to swim in (and with who).
Reminiscing: The moon is often associated with our core memories - so this month can be a sweet time to reflect and recall experiences that have shaped us & brought us to where we are today…we can get swept up in nostalgia a under Cancerian vibes.
Exploring the basics of Feng Shui: Many Cancers I know have some natural talent here! Amanda Gibby Peters, founder of Simple Shui, has a sweet little podcast called “House Therapy,” which may be fun to check out this month.
For children: Despite it now officially being summer, children may need to build some cozy spaces, dens, & forts to have some personal space for retreat & reflection. Water play will be craved & welcomed. Emotions may run a little high this month; use them as your barometer for when the summer voltage has us overextending and when a little more down time may be necessary to restore balance.
For health: In medical astrology, the sign of Cancer is associated with our stomach. Cancer season is an excellent time to reexamine our relationship with food & nourishment. Since we are tuning more into the moon’s cycle this month, we can first just begin to notice how cravings may change with the waxing & waning of the moon. It has been said that the body is able to absorb and build tissue more under the growing moon, so less caloric resources may actually be needed during the waxing moon. If you are interested in cutting back on weight, or are trying to eat more consciously for other health reasons, you could actually be satisfied with a bit less during the waxing half of the lunar cycle (which begins June 25). Becoming conscious of this simple pattern may help you over time consume in tune with the cosmos.

Waning crescent moon in Taurus, Water & Earth Day (double yin) 💧🪴
Favorable day for: Celebration, enjoying simple pleasures, indulging the senses, time in nature
“Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to stay in and places to pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body & soul alike.” ~ John Muir, Sun & Mercury in Taurus
For today: With the moon in Taurus and the sun newly in Cancer, we may ask, “how can we cultivate simple pleasures at home or within our family life?” Taurus energy invites us to go a bit slower, tune into Mother Earth’s routines & rhythms, and seek fertilizer to help ourselves, families, and homes thrive.
For children: Double yin days may make it easier for children to “hobbit” around home. This energy doesn’t hold full demands of social outings & play dates. Tinkering in the yard with simple sand, stones, or other earthy materials (or making sand by smashing rocks, as G did this spring) as well as water play may easily restore & nourish little ones today. If possible, give time to be “slow.”
For health: With both sun & moon now currently in yin signs, congestion and dampness can accumulate a bit more easily. If you indulge in heavy or damp foods (like ice cream or cold smoothies), it may be easier for mucous to accumulate in the body. Movement and damp clearing foods such as lemon, garlic, daikon, & parsley may be helpful to balance this if you feel a bit heavy.

Waning crescent moon in Taurus, Water & Earth Day (double yin) 💧🪴
Moon conjoins Venus, 1:01 am EST, moon conjoins Uranus 9:50 pm EST
Pause: Watch challenge with conflating identity (who you are) with what you accomplish…also watch for prickles around feeling a lack of individuality (or purpose) or being a black sheep in group/family dynamics. (Cancer Sun squares Saturn)
Favorable day for: June 21 activities, taking action for progress (Mars sextile Jupiter), clarifying commitments, inventive & technological solutions, allowing room for the unexpected & spontaneous (Moon conjoins Uranus)
For today: With all of the planetary changes occurring this spring & summer, new tones and projects and ways of being may have been knocking at your front door. We are currently swimming in vibes that are calling us to get clear on what and who we wish to commit to and the quality of life we want to create. If the past few days have presented challenges (Sun square Saturn), the purpose of that log in the road may be to help us examine our energetic & time commitments and how we want to spend those precious resources. Now is a time where pruning may help you devote yourself deeper to what really matters to you.
For children: Feelings of freedom & the joy of spontaneous activities can arise when routines & structures dissolve a bit in summer. With the moon approaching Uranus today, saying yes to something a little unexpected may help balance & lighten some of the heavier Sun/Saturn vibes just mentioned.
For health: The moon’s monthly conjunction with Uranus can at times feel a little high voltage, nervous, or anxious. Sometimes it can feel hard to identify if it feels like excitement or anxiety (or a little bit of both). In medical astrology, Uranus is known for throwing off bodily rhythms. Take note of these vibes! It may be helpful to limit activities that you know can overstimulate you or throw you off balance (intense conversations, excessive technology use, stimulants & sugar for example) around this time. Grounding essential oils such as firs & spruces, as well as those which calm the nervous system — chamomile, lavender, & vetiver, may be supportive. Developing awareness of this monthly conjunction is one of my biggest recommendations for anyone with nervous energy.
